Johnstown Masonic Temple holds 5th annual Toys for Tots drive
The Johnstown Masonic Temple held their 5th annual Toys for Tots drive on Saturday.
Toys for Tots is a program run by the marines that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
The participating marines noticed a shift this year, stating that the amount of families in need has only been increasing compared to years past.
“Compared to last year we’ve noticed about a 50% increase in the amount of children we’re helping,"
Tickets still available for Happy Valley Jam at Beaver Stadium
UNIVERSITY PARK – The first-ever concert at Penn State’s Beaver Stadium is just over a week away and there are still tickets available.
The Happy Valley Jam is set for next Saturday, July 8.
Country music star Blake Shelton headlines the concert, with other artists such as Chris Young and Big & Rich also on the bill.
Penn State said tickets have been sold in 40 states, but there are still seats available.

The Transportation Security Administration said on April 26, officers detected something unusual from a passenger's pants. After further investigation, two small white snakes were found inside a small camouflage bag. LORETTO, Pa. (WJAC) — Federal Bureau of Prisons records reveal that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is now being housed at FCI Loretto in Cambria County.
Manafort, who was convicted and pleaded guilty in 2018 to multiple charges of fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy, is serving his seven-and-a-half year sentence after Special Council Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election found he conspired to hide tens of millions of dollars earned through lobbying efforts for a Russian oligarch in Ukraine and conspired to tamper with witnesses.

"It doesn't seem real that it's happening. You kind of just have to pinch yourself."
