Woman charged following investigation into 'extreme cat hoarding' in Cambria Co.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say charges have been filed against a Cambria County woman accused of hoarding nearly 60 cats. On March 11th, 58 cats were removed from 67-year-old Karen Turgeon’s Krayn Road home in Adams Township. Police say the cats were found locked in a small bedroom and were covered in urine and feces. Police say that almost all of the cats were also severely matted and required veterinary care.
