ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP – An Allegheny Township police officer is in critical condition at UPMC Altoona after a cardiac arrest episode while on duty shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Allegheny Township Assistant Chief Michael Robison said. Robison said the 44-year-old officer, whose name has not been released yet, was investigating a disorderly conduct-type of incident that turned into a foot pursuit, during which he collapsed and experienced cardiac arrest. Allegheny Township police were responding to a report of a man causing a verbal disturbance at the Eldorado Mobile Home Park.
