Allegheny Township officer in critical condition after cardiac arrest
ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP – An Allegheny Township police officer is in critical condition at UPMC Altoona after a cardiac arrest episode while on duty shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Allegheny Township Assistant Chief Michael Robison said.
Robison said the 44-year-old officer, whose name has not been released yet, was investigating a disorderly conduct-type of incident that turned into a foot pursuit, during which he collapsed and experienced cardiac arrest.
Allegheny Township police were responding to a report of a man causing a verbal disturbance at the Eldorado Mobile Home Park.

Bishop Carroll teacher unlawfully touched 2 students on Harrisburg field trip
EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A Cambria County teacher is facing a slew of charges after police said he inappropriately touched two 15-year-old female students on a class field trip to the state Capitol in March, according to a criminal complaint.
According to court documents, 68-year-old James Luksik, a teacher at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, is facing three felonies, including sexual contact with a student, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.
Brockway house fire damage estimated over $100,000
BROCKWAY - The state police fire marshal, the Brockway Police Department and Brockway Fire Department estimated the fire damage to a single-story residential home at 1127 Pershing Street in Brockway Wednesday to be over $100,000.
State police in Ridgway said Jamie S. Hynds, 39, of Brockway, was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois by ambulance for injuries suffered at the fire scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Peruvian national arrested over hoax bomb threats to US schools, synagogues, airports
New York (AP) — A man was arrested in Peru after U.S. officials say he sent 150 bomb threats to U.S. school districts, synagogues, airports, hospitals and to a mall last month, according to Department of Justice officials.
Investigators said Eddie Manuel Nunez Santos of Lima, Peru, approached young girls on an unnamed gaming platform posing as a teenage boy named "Lucas" and requested they send him sexually explicit photographs of themselves.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. — Three of the five judge candidates vying for Cambria County’s Court of Common Pleas will move on to the general election.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Artists in Blair County got the chance to show off their craft to the community Saturday. ArtsAltoona's seasonal art market returned, seeing dozens of vendors selling all sorts of creations.

Man attacked by suspects wielding machete in Times Square: police
NEW YORK (TND) — A man was attacked by three suspects who were armed with a machete in New York Thursday afternoon, according to authorities. A spokeswoman for the New York Police Department said the man, who was not identified, was stabbed in both legs around 1 p.m. The spokeswoman also said three people were arrested in connection with the attack. The New York Post reported the incident broke out near the McDonald's in Time Square.
