Westmont, Greater Johnstown forced to change venue for state playoff games
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — District 6 officials say Tuesday night's PIAA state playoff games involving the Westmont Hilltop girls' and Greater Johnstown boys' basketball teams have been forced to change venue.
According to D6 Representative Mike Hudak, a water issue was reported at Hempfield High School, the original site of the games.
Officials say the games will now be played at Charleroi High School, located at 100 Fecsen Drive, in Charleroi.

UNIVERSITY PARK – THON 2018 is officially over. After 46 hours of being on their feet, 700 dancers were inside the Bryce Jordan Center to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer.
THON is the Penn State Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, known as the world's largest student-run philanthropy. The money that is raised each year benefits pediatric cancer patients and their families, at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Man identified in robbery of woman leaving pharmacy
ALTOONA – Police have identified the man they said robbed a 73-year-old woman of her diabetic medication earlier this week.
Altoona police said they have a warrant for Scott Borgess. They said he’s the man seen in surveillance video at Thompson's Pharmacy before approaching the victim as she left the store.
Police said the woman, walking with a cane, picked up a prescription mid-afternoon from the pharmacy. She reported the man asked her several times about her disability and if she needed help.
Middle school assistant principal arrested, linked to decade-old triple homicide: Report
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — An assistant principal at McAdory Middle School was arrested in connection to a triple homicide that happened in Georgia more than a decade ago.
According to Jefferson County jail records, 45-year-old Keante Harris' was arrested Wednesday and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
ABC 33/40's Georgia affiliate WSB-TV reported that Harris is one of four suspects. According to WSB-TV, in January 2013, a Union City police officer found an abandoned 2010 Dodge Charger along I-85.

It's been a few months since Nittany Nation has witnessed any football. So, it goes without saying that there was a ton of excitement in the air for the Blue-White Game. But the rain in the air is certainly did not tamping down on the gameday fun.

A lot of interesting things happened in 1953.

While it’s not uncommon to have 5 in a year, it is somewhat rare to have 2 total lunar eclipses in a 12-month period.
Employees complained to linen company owner about suspect day before deadly shooting spree
CHESTER, Pa. (TND) — A man who went to his workplace and went on a shooting rampage was identified Thursday. Wilbert Rosado-Ruiz is being charged with two counts of first degree homicide, multiple counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and a firearms charge, said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer who describe the shooting as a "horrible tragedy."
The prosecutor claimed that there had been complaints filed about the murder suspect to the owner of Delaware County Linen where five people were shot and two died.
