PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker Ryan Shazier won't play again this season. Yet he remains very much a part of the team even after injuring his spine against Cincinnati last month. Shazier attended practice on Wednesday for the first time since undergoing spine stabilization surgery on Dec. 6. Shazier posted a photo on Instagram from the team's indoor training facility as Pittsburgh prepared to host Jacksonville in the divisional round of the playoffs.

PennDOT gives update on RT 322 project in Centre County; expect delays

POTTERS MILL, Pa. (WJAC) — PennDOT officials offered an early traffic alert in Centre County as work continues on the Route 322 project in the Potters Mills area. There are going to be added headaches for drivers for most of this month. It’s a challenging, lengthy, highway construction project building a new stretch of Route 322 from Seven Moutains into Potters Mills and the intersection with Route 144. The project is now in its fourth year, and motorists have already encountered plenty of frustrations and delays, but the next phase, starting June 17, could top them all.

Police seeking at least 1 suspect for Clearfield restaurant burglary

CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WJAC) — The Pennsylvania State Police says it is investigating a burglary that happened at a restaurant in Clearfield County. According to state police, the burglary happened at the Riverfront Bar and Grill on Market Street in Karthaus Township between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. State police say at least one person cut the electric power to the restaurant before entering through the front door of the bar area by force.

Live music returns to Hollidaysburg with free outdoor concerts

Punxsutawney School Board decides on consolidation plan

PUNXSUTAWNEY - The Punxsutawney Area School Board decided on which consolidation plan to move forward with Wednesday night. The plan includes closing Bell Township, Jenks Hill, Longview, Mapleview and Parkview elementary schools. West End Elementary would be used as an administrative building. Seventh-grade students will move to the high school, with the middle school consisting of grades kindergarten through sixth. The board will vote on the plan at its next meeting June 12.
