COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) — Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a candidate for president and a member of the famed Kennedy family, announced Friday that his campaign gained November ballot access in South Carolina. Black bear kills 16-year-old boy during race in Alaska
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska authorities have identified a 16-year-old boy who was fatally mauled by a black bear during a weekend mountain race as Patrick Cooper of Anchorage.
Race organizers say Cooper reportedly called his brother while he was being chased by the animal just before the Sunday afternoon attack. Earlier reports say he texted his mother.
Race director Brad Precosky says the boy was mauled after he got lost and veered off the trail during the juniors division of the Robert Spurr Memorial Hill Climb race south of Anchorage.
Composite images released in unsolved 1975 stabbing death
LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — Prosecutors say they've made progress in the unsolved 1975 stabbing death of a 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman and are going public with new composite images and fresh details about a possible suspect in hopes the public can help.
The Lancaster County district attorney provided new information Thursday about the investigation into Lindy Sue Biechler's killing inside her suburban Lancaster apartment.
District Attorney Craig Stedman says a man who left DNA at the scene is likely fair-skilled, very likely has hazel colored eyes, and probably has dark hair and no freckles.

Macy's to close stores in State College, Harrisburg
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — Macy's has decided to close two of its Pennsylvania stores, according to a company spokesperson.
Macy's Director of Media Relations Carolyn Cohen said Monday the department store chain decided to close Macy's Nittany Store in State College and the Macy's Harrisburg East Mall store in Harrisburg.
Cohen says a clearance sale will begin in January and run for about 8 to 12 weeks.
Regular and non-seasonal employees who are unable to be placed at a nearby Macy's store will be eligible for severance, including outplacement resources, Cohen said.
No motive, arrests in fatal shooting of rapper XXXTentacion
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Troubled rapper-singer XXXTentacion was shot and killed Monday in Florida in what police called an apparent robbery attempt. Investigators don't have a motive, and no arrests have been made.
The 20-year-old rising star, who pronounced his stage name "Ex Ex Ex ten-ta-see-YAWN" and whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was pronounced dead Monday evening at a Fort Lauderdale-area hospital, the Broward Sheriff's Office said. He was shot earlier outside a Deerfield Beach motorcycle dealership.

5 dead, dozens injured in fatal crash that has closed PA Turnpike

The eastbound section of the crash scene is before the Donegal exit and motorists can now enter the highway at the Donegal, Somerset and Bedford exits. Westbound lanes are still closed from Breezewood to New Stanton.

Cambria County Republicans consider resolution to censure Casey, Toomey over impeachment
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The Cambria County Republican Committee says they’re considering a resolution to censure U.S. Senator Pat Toomey and U.S. Senator Bob Casey for failing to uphold the U.S. Constitution.
According to a release, the CCRC discussed the United States Senate’s vote to impeach former President Donald Trump this week during their monthly meeting.
They say the U.S. Constitution wasn’t followed when the decision was made to proceed with the trial.
