Shooting at UNLV leaves 3 dead, 1 critical; gunman believed to be former college professor
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Three people are dead and another person is hospitalized after a gunman opened fire in a building on the UNLV campus Wednesday morning, authorities said. The suspect, identified by news outlets as a 67-year-old college professor, is also dead.
Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said that at about 11:45 a.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded after getting reports of an active shooter on campus. University and LVMPD officers responded and found the suspect outside of Beam Hall, McMahill said.

Altoona Driver License Center will close for renovations
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — The Altoona Driver License Center will be closing for renovations this Saturday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
PennDOT said in a release the center will be closed starting Jan. 12 at 4:15 p.m. and will reopen for both photo services and driver licensing services Feb. 6.
PennDOT said while renovations are taking place, the Huntingdon Driver License Center will have extended hours.
